The Completely In the Canal (CIC) hearing aid style
offers the user the most discreet option for hearing improvement. The deep canal
position provides the advantages of better hearing on the telephone, a reduction of
occlusion (barrel sound of the voice) and more amplification with less power. All
current circuit options are available in the CIC style. The CIC is
appropriate for mild to moderate hearing losses. Patients with extremely small,
narrow or sharply curved ear canals may not be appropriate for the CIC style. |
